First time for spicy Greek food. How have I missed this? The waitress kept checking back to make sure we were ok. Loved this little Greek cafe and will definitely return!

We've been here a dozen times and never sat down. Until today. The people were very friendly to us and the service was terrific. I'm not a big fan of their decor but it's pretty far down the priority list. All of our choices were great tasting and served up quickly and served hot. They do very well with tabouli and their dips were sensational. Pro Tip: If you have a large party, order the Greek Star Trio. This gets you all three dips (Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Tzatziki) for the cost of two. This way everyone can sample for cheap. While their gyros and their bowls are satisfactory, I really liked the Rib Eye gyro and the Grilled Tilapia on Yellow rice. A second Pro Tip: If you plan on ordering the Tilapia, grilled or fried, tell your server the minute you sit down. It requires more time to prepare. 09/24

Went here for an early lunch with some girlfriends. The food was really great!!! One of my friends is Greek too and she really liked it. The meat had great flavor. I got the chicken bowl. All of us devoured our meals. The servings are large too!!! And the two young men working were very friendly and helpful. Forgot to take pics.

The Greek Star in Pickerington is our spot for simple Greek food. The Greek star is a casual spot with a friendly staff. They have a full bar and sometimes a special in beer. The food is good, and the service is fast. This spot is where we meet friends for dinner and then linger over drinks and gab. We always order gyros and a side of fries which are large and delicious.

I just visited Greek Star for the second time (the first being takeout) and once again, I was fully satisfied.  Having grown up with a best friend whose parents were from Greece, I've enjoyed many authentic meals throughout my teen years.  The problem with that being you can't find good food in half of these restaurants. Being a fan of gyros, I have been told that shawarma was very close, but primarily a Middle Eastern dish, so I gave it a shot. The first time I had the lamb and beef, which was absolutely amazing!  Seasoned incredibly well with great texture (I had a tough spot or two, but nothing to complain about).  Sadly, I was eating while driving and spent more time licking the dripping sauce off of my forearm than I did chewing!  That's my own fault for treating it like a burrito. Today, I sat in the restaurant and had the chicken shawarma.  Let me tell you, this was better than the lamb and beef imho.  The chicken was prepared perfectly, the vegetables were fresh and mildly crunchy, the bread was firm and tasty and like before, the texture was amazing with each slow chew.  It was saucy, like before (I didn't think to ask what kind of sauce it was), but at least I could handle it with two hands and eat it at the appropriate angle. What I really enjoyed about it was the aftertaste.  It was like the inverse of the pain of stubbing your toe, a millisecond after the act.  Once the food passed down, you got a reprise of that great flavor that stayed with you.  The only hearbreak was drinking my strawberry lemonade after, washing it down.  By the way, I'm big on a drink flavor that compliments the main dish.  As far as non-alcoholic beverages go, strawberry lemonade is a winner (I don't drink, so you'll have to figure out what else goes good with it). Definitely a must if you're looking for something new...

I eat here probably 20 times annually. It's currently our classic Friday meal. The food is great. I highly recommend getting the "spicy" version of any meal you get. They also have the best unknown happy hour. Top shelf booze for minimal prices. No one ever takes advantage of it. ...I do, but I'm an old booze hound from way back when. Oh lord, don't get me started on the desserts. Dear God in heaven please help me not get started on these delectable treats. I love you baklava.
